Can You Top Up Data on a DRC eSIM Through This Site?

eSIMs and data top-ups are two separate offerings on MboteData, with no direct link between them in the purchase flow. Here's what that means in practice if you already have an eSIM and want to add data to it.
What the site connects today
There's no "top up this eSIM" button after an eSIM purchase, and the top-up page doesn't look up past eSIM orders by number. The two flows are built and presented as separate offerings (see the "Data Top-up vs. eSIM" guide).
What probably still works
Reloadly and DingConnect, the providers behind top-ups, add data to a phone number at the network level — they don't distinguish a physical SIM from an eSIM. Once your MboteData eSIM is active on Vodacom or Airtel, it's an ordinary active line on that network, so entering that same number on the top-up page would likely add data to it too.
That said, this isn't a path the site has tested end-to-end — it's a consequence of how the providers work, not a guaranteed feature. Treat it as "likely, not confirmed."
Network coverage is still the main limit
eSIM plans here run on Vodacom or Orange. Data top-ups currently cover only Vodacom and Airtel. In practice, an Orange eSIM can't be topped up through this site right now, since neither top-up provider has an Orange product available.
How to try it
Find your eSIM's phone number in your phone's cellular settings once it's installed and activated — not on MboteData, since the site doesn't keep a browsable history of your eSIM orders.
Confirm that number is on Vodacom or Airtel, then go to the top-ups page, pick an offer, enter the number, and pay the same way as any purchase (Lightning or mobile money).

Will MboteData automatically add data to my eSIM after I pay for a top-up?
Yes, as long as the number you enter matches a supported network — a top-up is delivered to whatever active number you provide (Vodacom or Airtel right now), whether that number is on an eSIM or a physical SIM.
Can I top up an Orange eSIM I bought here?
Not yet — Orange doesn't have a data top-up product from either of our providers (Reloadly, DingConnect), even though Orange eSIMs are sold on the site.
